The mentioned James Stephens (1824-1901) was one of the founders of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, and played an active part in the 1848 Rebellion, after which he fled to France. Condition: Corners and edges chipped but not affecting text or decorative engraved border. Spotlessly clean and completely legible. Very Good.
